Celebrities in the Philippines are very open to their home investments. Having an elegant home is a prestige, especially if they have it in their most favorite peaceful place.
Just like Derek Ramsay, he put part of his investment into a rest house in Palawan. Derek is a half Filipino; his mother is a Filipina who worked as the housekeeping head in a hotel in England, while his father is a British detective inspector.
The family was involved in this steel and glass house. They make sure that each of them has a personal touch to this house.
Derek and her mom were assigned to the interiors and his dad on the structural design.
The house has a breathtaking view of the ocean, and it seems to be living in a paradise. On the inside, you can see furniture around the world; there are also pieces which are made locally.
The dining and living areas is perfect for entertaining big groups. Mommy Medy and Derek worked on the interiors, a fusion of their ideas and tastes. The family settled on modern theme with an Asian feel. “We didn’t want to build a house that you see in a village in Alabang or Forbes Park. We want it to be really, like, pang-beach talaga. Anywhere you stand, you see the beach,” shares the derek.
In this corner, Mayi Penaflorida’s Dear Bella spruces up the wall while Ito Kish’s Basilisa lounge can accommodate guests.
The house defines the rich culture that the Ramsay has. Probably, living in this glass house will give you a 5-star resort experience.
Derek’s room are pieces made by his favorite designers, Kenneth Cobonpue and Ito Kish. It’s based to the Yin and Yang bed and the sheets with inspired of gold.
To improve the room, a little vanity part was utilized towards the finishing look. Rather than of having a huge chair, a storage ottoman in pale green was added.
