Kapamilya actress Sunshine Cruz revealed that she had “no secrets” anymore with her daughters since she was separated from her ex-husband Cesar Montano back in 2013. She had an interview in the ABS-CBN morning talk show “Magandang Buhay” last August 14, Wednesday where she shared that she is now much closer with her children than before.
“Since 2013 nung nahiwalay ako sa ex-husband ko noon, [nagkaroon] kami ng promise sa isa’t-isa ng mga anak ko, ‘no secrets’ na kung anuman yung mga nararamdaman nila, kung sino naman ang mga crushes nila, kung sino man ang friends nila. They tell me, and vice versa. Sabi ko sa kanila, ‘Anak, sino ba naman ang iba pang magmamalasakit at magtuturo sa inyo ng tama, siyempre ang nanay ninyo dahil ayaw ko kayong masaktan,'”, the celebrity mom quipped.
Sunshine Cruz and Cesar Montano were blessed with their three daughters namely: Angelina, Samantha, and Angel who live with their mother. The ageless celebrity mommy said that when the darkest time of her life came as she had separated with her ex-husband, all of her daughters appreciated her much and becomes closer to her more than before. It really helped a lot that they saw their mother’s sacrifice and love for them who raised them all with love and utmost care.
The 42-taong-old actress and singer also shared the role of a mother as her children experience heartbreaks. “Tinuturuan ko kasi ang mga anak ko ng self-worth nila. So I think pag pinaasa sila. Ibig lang sabihin that guy does not deserve my children, because they know their self-worth,” she explained.
Sunshine Cruz’s current boyfriend is Macky Mathay, the half-brother of actress turned businesswoman Ara Mina and a known son of a politician. She had also recently starred in one of the Cinemalaya Film Festival entry entitled “Malamaya” together with Kapamilya hunk and actor Enzo Pineda.
