Virgilio Viernes Hilario Jr. is professionally known as Jhong Hilario in the show business industry. He is a 42-year old actor, dancer, and television host. He is actually a member of a popular dance group known as “Streetboys” in the Philippines. He is also a politician serving as a member of Makati City Council, elected last May 9, 2016.
Many Filipino knew him as ”Alakdan”. A lot of people wanted to knock him down as he portrayed a very undesirable character on the show. But in real life, he will always be the bubbly and happy Jhong Hilario. He actually had been part of different movies including “Muro Ami” that was released in 1999 where he portrayed Butong. He also portrayed in the movie “D’ Anothers” in 2005 and Dekada ’70 in 2002. His career started in 1993 being a member of the dance group Streetboys. Three years after he made his debut as an actor.
It was in 2012 when he became one of the hosts of ABS-CBN’s noontime show “It’s Showtime”. He started as a judge before he became one of the hosts of the program for 4 years. Until he decided to leave the show to pursue his political career on March 23, 2016. In one of his interviews, he revealed that one of his main reasons pursuing a government seat was his father, Virgilio Sr. who served as a councilor for 9 years. It was in 2017 when Jhong had been known as the most hated enemy of “Cardo Dalisay” in the “FPJ’s: Ang Probinsiyano” as he had given a great opportunity to portray the role of Alakdan.
According to some reports, actor/host Jhong Hilario has a net worth of $11 million! Though he had been in the industry for decades now he still has his glow that doesn’t age.
