Policemen shared personal money to build a house for this old woman who lives in a ramshackle home!

Most of us think of policemen as those bad cops who were always taking advantage of their authority against those innocent and helpless citizens. But little did we know that there are some policemen who did a lot of things beyond their call of duty.

Just like what this cops did to an old lady who is living in a severely damaged house. The viral post was shared by the Facebook Page “I Love PNP”. It features photos of some policemen working out for a new and safe home for the 98-year-old woman. The public was amazed by these policemen for doing such a thing without asking anything in return.

The old woman was later known as Lola Celerina Ibus Villa from Brgy. Labut, Badoc Ilocos Norte. Her story went viral after someone found her living in a 2-story house which literally seems to fall apart.

It was very dangerous for her to stay in that house because of her age. She has two sons but they are also very old to look for her and they didn’t also have their own families to look for them. That is why they are living all together in such a difficult situation.

After learning about the old woman’s plight the police officers from Badoc Patrolbase, 101st Maneuver Company, RMFB1, Police Regional Office 1 contributed enough money to spend for the construction materials that they will be needing to build Lola Celerina’s new home.

A lot of netizens could not help but praise these policemen and other concerned people who help out the old lady as well as her two sons. True enough that helping and “Bayanihan” with Filipinos are still alive even until now. Many people will also have a lot of inspiration to help others because of Lola Celerina and policemen’s story.
