Alejandro Atienza is professionally known as Kuya Kim Atienza is a 52 year old Filipino television host, actor, weather anchor and a former politician. He is currently a resident weather anchor in ABS-CBN’s TV Patrol’s segment, “Weather-Weather Lang”.
Atienza served as councilor of the 5th District of Manila for three terms. He is the eldest son of former Mayor of Manila and Buhay Party-List Representative Lito Atienza and the brother of Ali Atienza. He is married to Felicia Hung, and they are blessed to have three children: Jose III, Eliana, and Emman. He is the President and Founding Member of Chinese International School Manila (CISM).
He is an avid marathoner, triathlete, and cyclist. He had a stroke in 2010 while in 2013 he was diagnosed to have Guillain–Barré syndrome, a rare d!sease that attacks the nervous system. He totally recovered and has since finished several marathons, 70.3 Ironman and full Ironman races. He continues to compete and lead his age group to this day.
Kim Atienza is a very proud father to his son Jose as he takes his very first flight with his son as his pilot. His son became a licensed pilot at 17-years-old and was trained under a Leading Edge Aviation Academy. He shared on his social media account some photos of videos of their unforgettable moment as his son flew a small plane in the skies of San Fernando, La Union.
“Jose is grade 12. He flew solo this year when he was 16 and got his license at 17.” Kuya Kim posted online.
It was just early in July when his son got his license as a pilot. Kuya Kim also shared it online and congratulated his son saying:
“Congratulations on your wings my PILOT Jose! Mama and I are so proud of you! You are truly a blessing.” Kuya Kim shared.
Kuya Kim didn’t forget to remind his son to give thanks to the Lord for their joy and success.
“Always remember THE pilot, the source of all, as you fly His great skies! I love you dear dear son! Praise Jesus for you!” The proud father said.
